Our Team

Choosing a name and look for our blog wasn’t easy. Nor was passing the sixth grade. But taking respectable pictures of our new media crew posed the greatest challenge of all. We’re quirky, obsessed, and married to our computer screens for eleven hours a day. Besides, nine out of ten of us are sure to never win a beauty contest. But we love what we do, we’re good at it and here is who we are.

His experience in software design, project management, business administration, graphic design and network engineering helps him deliver fresh yet pragmatic solutions for today's rapidly changing business environment. When he's not working, Rich likes to sing in choirs, play in bands, and run away from his 1-year old daughter to make her giggle hysterically.

Damonnew media producer

When not riding his superbike at amazingly illegal speeds, Damon spends his days (and most nights) in front of a computer cranking out all sorts of advertising and marketing gems. After running his own agency in Washington DC for 10 years, he has all kinds of insight into what makes the world go 'round, but he promises to keep those to himself so you can still sleep at night. As the New Media Strategist for Respond2, Damon dreams of the day when his prediction of IP-based television finally becomes a reality so he can stop feeling like a techno-geek poser. Until then, he finds satisfaction in brainstorming ways to sell lots and lots of stuff.

Patrickjr new media producer

Patrick is Respond2’s token professional athlete; though he’s still working on the business professional thing. Patrick has the keen ability to answer every agency related question and when not managing the success of our web projects or blogging about hair loss and female footwear, you’ll find Patrick tearing the legs off his competitors in pro category bike races. In his free time Patrick also enjoys optimizing his web presence, authentic burritos and competitive hoola-hooping.

Alexnew media developer

Switching majors six times in a six-year span at Oregon State University and Portland State University actually paid off, as Alex has a wide range of skills. Alex’s job means thinking quick, learning fast and moving faster. Knowing latest trends in advertising, marketing, design, fashion and technology is a passion and financial vice, but also part of his job. Additionally, some state that he IS the most well rounded athlete of Respond2 (thanks Tina!)

Mikecopywriter

Mike Vitellaro studied advertising at the University of Oregon. Well, that was his senior year. He spent his first three years trying to figure out how to counterfeit a college diploma. After a few close calls with the feds, his guilt outweighed his determination to beat the system and he became a born-again-student. The legitimacy of his degree is still questionable, though he still managed to land a job as a copywriter.

Scottnew media developer

Scott Carver became a Web Developer after flirting with the world of print publishing for several years. During that time he got degrees in Magazine Journalism and Digital Arts and edited a University of Oregon magazine about Northwest music and washed-up celebrities from the 1980s. Since graduation, Scott has delved more into the online world, developing an interest in Open Source Content Management Systems.

Joshmarketing coordinator

Josh Frickle hails from The University of Montana with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. In college Josh sold ads for the Montana Kaimin Newspaper, was a marketing manager for a local Missoula bar and served boneless chicken wings at Applebees. On his free time you may see Josh reading at local coffee shops, working out or enjoying a beer at a local Portland dive bar.
